Welcome to the Posterior Arm Reach + Supination exercise, a valuable addition to your corrective routine.
While I might use the term "nemesis" for this exercise, it often means we should incorporate it more regularly into our workouts.
Given our forward-focused lives, it's essential to challenge and mobilize the parts of our bodies that lie behind us.
The Posterior Arm Reach offers various benefits, such as:
- Easing shoulder tension.
- Providing relief for overused forearm muscles.
- Releasing tight chest muscles.
Here's how to perform it:
1. Start by reaching your arm behind your back.
2. Gradually walk your hand up between your shoulder blades.
3. Work on flattening your shoulder blade against your rib cage by gently rounding your shoulder forward.
4. Finally, try to flip your palm over.
This exercise is a valuable progression that we should all incorporate into our routines for improved flexibility and posture.
