Head Ramping

Let's talk about Head Ramping—a move that stirs up a bit of a love/hate relationship for me.
Here's the scoop:
I completely get it; most of us exist in a forward head posture. Our modern environment practically encourages this tendency.
Now, my personal dilemma stems from having unintentionally flattened my thoracic curve. So, when I attempt to position my head in a neutral position, I tend to overcompensate, leading to neck discomfort.
As for the name "Head Ramping," I didn't quite grasp it until someone explained that it's like your head moving up a ramp behind you. For some reason, that imagery confuses me.
I prefer to visualize it like a Nike swoosh.
Here's the deal: your head gently nods down, your double chin makes a comeback, and your ponytail gracefully lifts up.
It's anatomically accurate, right?
So, whether you've spent endless hours at your computer, embarked on a long road trip, or indulged in a binge-reading session, consider incorporating the Head Ramp into your routine.
This simple move can help reposition your head over your torso, reducing strain, preventing disc damage, and alleviating shoulder tension.
How does the Head Ramp feel to you?
